Personally I use this tool before any synchronization or if I'm planing to remove duplicates from my contacts. If synchronization fails I can restore my contacts list as it was before sync in just few seconds. Great tool if you need to backup specific Outlook data quite often.

Folder Backup for Microsoft Outlook is easy to install and has a simple user-friendly interface. I backed up one Outlook folder which included several thousand e-mails in a matter of minutes. As an Outlook user, I see this software as an excellent email backup tool and I recommend it to all who want to avoid the frustration of lost important email and other information, especially when using Outlook with third party add-ins and synchronization software. Folder Backup for Outlook is a handy and reliable e-mail backup solution designed to create copies of your Outlook folders. These copies will be of great use in case you loose your data, as they will allow you to restore Outlook folders to the exact state of previous backups.
